The biggest myth that drinking alcohol at night is better than drinking in the day.

"When I drink at night I sleep well." - A Myth ,the worst time to drink alcohol is night.

Reading about sleeping and the relaxing articles one finds out that the general recovery of tissues and cells takes place after 3-4 hours of deep sleep which is rejuvenation. A research by 'The Division of Sleep Medicine at Harvard Medical School' reads "The major restorative functions in the body like muscle growth, tissue repair, protein synthesis, and growth hormone release occur mostly, or in some cases only, during sleep."

When we drink alcohol the body treats it as a foreign substance and tries to fight it. So instead of the body relaxing and trying to do the rejuvenation, muscle growth , tissue repair and on and on .... its just fighting the foreign substance we have taken just before going to sleep.

So basically this means that you grow older faster, tieredness, loss of health etc is more. Thats the reason drinking alcohol at night is the worst than drinking it in the day.
